When it comes to margaritas, there’s no better place to start than with Altos Plata. Here’s our variation for it, so you can make it at home.
In this case, we add a touch more sweetness and use lime juice instead of lemon juice. Visit the recipe and learn how to prepare it in just minutes.

Tommy’s Margaritas Mix

The Tommy’s Margarita is one of the most famous margarita flavor variations. While most margaritas use triple sec in place of agave syrup, Tommy’s Margarita uses the latter to create a truly special flavor that is unlike any other. This makes Tommy’s Margarita one of the most popular margarita flavor.

Ingedients

  • 50ml Tequila Blanco, 100% agave
  • 25ml Lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 15ml Agave syrup (you can always adjust to your taste)
  • Salt rim (optional)
  • Lime wheel to garnish

Shake everything up, serve and indulge. Chill your glass in the freezer or fill it with ice Add tequila, agave syrup and lime juice to your cocktail shaker Fill with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds or until the outside of your shaker feels cold Run a lime wedge on the rim of your chilled glass, then dip it in the salt to coat Wipe any excess with a napkin (we don’t want any salt in our cocktail) Strain your cocktail into the prepared glass and fill it with ice Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy.

Cadillac Margarita Recipe

For this cocktail we will use Tequila Reposado and not Tequila Blanco. In addition, if we add the orange liqueur and Grand Marnier we get a unique flavor profile and a powerful yellow color that enters through the eye, and through the taste buds once you taste it.

Ingedients

  • 1 1/2 oz. Reposado Tequila
  • 1 oz. orange liqueur
  • 1 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 3/4 oz. lime juice
  • A slice of lime
  • Ice cubes
  • Salt

How to Make

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the rested tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and Grand Marnier. Stir until all ingredients are combined. Add the traditional touch of salt to the rim of the glass by moistening it with the lime juice. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass. Garnish with a slice of lime and serve immediately.

Ginger Margarita

A spicy and strong drink, not suitable for all tastes, but that certainly will not leave you indifferent. It does not reach the spicy level of the next cocktail, but it certainly offers one of the most distinctive margarita flavors. On this occasion, we recommend you try it before preparing margaritas for a party, because as we said, either you love it or you won’t want to know anything else about it.

Ingedients

  • 50ml Altos Plata
  • 25ml Lemon juice (fresh is always best)
  • 15ml Ginger syrup
  • 10ml Agave syrup

How to Make

Pour the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds and strain. Serve with crushed ice in a julep cup or clay jarrito. Garnish with a lemon wedge and enjoy.

Spicy Margarita

The most Mexican version of a more than Mexican cocktail, this is one of our top margarita flavor. To get the spiciness in this drink we use no more and no less than 2 slices of jalapeños. If you are brave, you can add more, but we advise you not to overdo it.

Ingedients

  • 2 ounces Tequila
  • 1/2 ounce Orange liqueur
  • 2 Jalapeno coins with the seeds removed
  • 1 Lime wedges
  • 1/2 ounce Agave syrup

How to Make

Start by rubbing the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip the rim in salt to coat. Add the jalapeno coins to a shaker and muddle gently. Combine with your tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and agave nectar, plus ice and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture in the already prepared glass over fresh ice and garnish with a jalapeno coin.

Champagne Margarita

Once again we use tequila reposado to prepare one of the most luxurious Margaritas. The mixture of tequila and champagne may not seem intuitive at first, but we assure you that you will hardly miss the mark with your guests. Besides, the agave syrup and orange liqueur give it an ideal sweetness and citric flavor.

Ingedients

  • 15ml Reposado Tequila
  • 15ml Orange liqueur
  • 25ml Fresh lime juice
  • 25ml Agave syrup
  • 100ml Champagne or sparkling wine of your choice
  • Optional: Salt for rimming the glasses

How to Make

Pour the tequila, orange liqueur, agave syrup and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with some ice. Shake thoroughly for about 30 seconds to mix and chill. Strain into Margarita glass or glass of choice. Top with your favorite champagne or sparkling wine. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

Christmas Margarita

Are you ready to celebrate Christmas?

If your answer is “yes”, then we suggest you not to miss the date with Margaritas with one of the most festive versions. With a mixture of coconut milk, orange liqueur, lime juice and, obviously, tequila, in this case blanco, you will obtain a Margarita cocktail that will make you wish to live in a perpetual Christmas.

Ingedients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Blanco tequila, 100% agave
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ounce coconut milk
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce white cranberry juice
  • Garnish extras
  • Lime wedges
  • Cranberries
  • Rosemary sprig
  • Cinnamon sugar, for rimming

How to Make

Measure out the tequila and other ingredients. In a small bowl, combine ground cinnamon and white sugar. Get the glasses ready: Brush the rims of the glasses with a lime wedge, then dip them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Shake: Pour the tequila, orange liqueur, coconut milk, lime juice, and white cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Serve: Strain into an ice-filled, pre-chilled cocktail glass. For a festive touch, garnish with a lime wedge, cranberries, and a rosemary sprig.

Chilli Margarita

If the spicy version of the Margarita did not leave you indifferent, we bring you another spicy version a little more elaborate. This time, what we will do is to infuse the tequila itself with chili peppers. You will have to prepare it with time, but the result is impressive.

Ingedients

  • 1 ½ oz chili-infused tequila
  • Juice from ½ lime and extra lime wedges for the garnish
  • 1 oz Triple Sec/Cointreau
  • Âľ oz agave nectar
  • Ice

How to Make

Allow at least 5 to 8 hours for the tequila to infuse (or more if you want it extra hot). In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for chilli salt and set aside. Use a lime wedge to rub the rim of a Margarita or cocktail glass, then rim with chilli salt. Combine chilli-infused tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and agave nectar in an ice-filled shaker. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Fill rimmed glass halfway with ice and strain the Margarita. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!
