Sparkling Paloma: 3 Cents Grapefruit Soda
To make a foamy dove you will have to follow four really simple steps: 1. Pour the ingredients into a tall glass. 2. Stir to dissolve the agave mixture. 3. Add ice and top with soda. 4. Rim the glass with salt. The result should look like the following image, but if you want to go a step further, you can decorate the drink with slices of lime or even grapefruit.
Paloma is one of the most famous tequila cocktails, and it’s easy to see why. It’s sweet, tart and refreshing—a perfect way to cool off on a hot day.
But what if you want that same flavor profile in an even more refreshing drink? What if you want your paloma to be effervescent?
Well now you can! With this Sparkling Paloma recipe, we’ve taken the classic paloma and turned it into something new: a sparkling cocktail with the same flavor as its non-sparkling counterpart. The secret ingredient is grapefruit soda and we’ll recommend a set of ideal sodas.

Our Other Versions of Paloma like Smoky or Spicy
Consider experimenting with various takes on the Paloma cocktail. Among the lesser-known is the Smoky Paloma, but we’ll also guide you through making the classic version and a unique twist on the Spicy Paloma:
Olmeca Altos Plata or Reposado
Tequila Altos Silver or Reposado is the perfect choice for this cocktail. The Altos silver tequila is a 100% agave tequila, and the reposado is a tequila that has been aged in wood for at least 12 months. Both tequilas are smooth and delicious, so you’re sure to love trying them in this Sparkling Paloma.
