Energy Saving Tequila

When it comes to energy at the Altos Tequila distillery, we measure everything. This approach allows us to continuously optimise and improve our sustainable energy strategies. We have introduced simple measures, such as using natural lighting in our workspaces and insulating all the piping used to transfer steam, which has significantly helped reduce energy consumption.

Furthermore, in our steam generation systems, we have been upgrading the boilers to modernise the carburation methods, moving from analogue to digital systems. This provides greater precision in mixing the fuel with the air, resulting in higher efficiency and, therefore, more steam generation with less energy. Additionally, we produce fewer emissions, which offers a double benefit.
