Waste Management

At Altos, we compost 3,900 tonnes of organic waste per year, and 99% of all the solid waste in our distillery is recycled. In fact, the total amount of non-recycled material that we generate each month could fit inside the boot of a car.

Furthermore, we believe in discovering ways to give waste a second life. We are currently collaborating with researchers to explore innovative uses for agave bagasse, including biofuels and construction materials made from organic waste.
